| Robert Reese, President/Owner, created Photo Ribbons Plus (PRP) to answer the demand for high quality, reasonably priced backprint ribbons for the photo minilab industry. Mr. Reese, a CPA, has enjoyed a long career of experience with ink ribbon machines. Bob Tonnesen, Reese’s long-time friend and Product Development and Sales Manager, creates photo lab products, enjoys the good news and suffers the bad. Photo Ribbons Plus focuses exclusively on the photo lab industry and currently manufactures backprint cartridges for Fuji, Noritsu, Konica, Agfa and Kodak. We also feature print ribbons for other lab related needs. As the manufacturer, we are able to customize backprint ribbon cartridges; for example, Kodak’s back coated paper requires a special ink formulation not required by, for example, the excellent Fuji Crystal Archive and other papers. All our backprint ribbon products are made in the USA and aimed at meeting/exceeding OEM specifications with a competitively priced product. PRP has earned its reputation for high quality standards, fair pricing and high value service to minilabs throughout the world. 40+ years of manufacturing has helped to build and maintain our excellent reputation. Added value for minilabs comes from PRP's offerings of cash register, POS and check printer ribbons and cartridges. PRP offers these consumables to their photo lab customers at competitive prices by manufacturing or reselling, based on market conditions. | We shall become an increasing force in the photolab market by offering quality products at reasonable prices. As our reputation for value added product grows, so shall our product line. The photolab industry is a highly specialized one that requires machinery, chemistry and supplies generally unique to itself. In this situation, competition in machinery and supplies has been limited and pricing has been what the market can bear. Low cost backprint ribbon supplies from overseas manufacturers have not always been consistently high quality and buyers have had little means of recourse. This company manufactures a high quality, fully backed product that fills the void of so many years. Quality control is high and customer service is our priority. Problems are addressed immediately and we guarantee your satisfaction. One principal advantage of USA production is the customer's ability to speak to the manufacturer; if our backprint ribbons need a custom application, whether a different ribbon spec or a lower ink saturation, PRP has the flexibility, interest and command of the language to do it. Our backprint ribbon cartridges should be more desirable because we use the highest quality materials and load with ribbons inked at our plant to industry or photolab specifications. Our pricing can be very competitive as sales are manufacturer-to-end user. Distributors using PRP products are pleased to work with a responsive, local manufacturer whose capabilities include custom products unavailable elsewhere. Our cash register, POS and check printer ribbon products have found favor because we price them as the commodities many have become. These products may be manufactured by PRP or imported but, in either case, are priced fairly to photolab operators. |
